Flak flies over Demons' debacle

PRESIDENTS of AFL clubs have a unique role in this nation's sport. More correctly, they have the opportunity to be as well known as their star player, their faces as familiar to the community as that of the Brownlow medallist. Jim Stynes heads an administration that is determined to secure Melbourne's future. That has not been done yet and a loss so severe as that precipitated by an insipid third quarter against Hawthorn last Sunday does not help the challenge.
