THE seriousness of Colin Garland’s ankle injury is yet to be known, according to coach Neil Craig.
Garland, who has been one of Melbourne’s best players this season, suffered the setback in the third quarter of his side’s 19-point loss to the Brisbane Lions at TIO Stadium on Saturday night.
Craig said Garland’s absence in the latter part of the match hurt the Demons.
“Garland’s been a fantastic player for us, so I’m not sure how many [matches] he’ll miss with that ankle,” he said.
“He may not miss any, but it’s not a good strain, in terms of the place that it occurred.”
“We missed him when he came off, because he’s been in good form.”
