THE MELBOURNE Football Club is proud to announce a new three-year partnership with McDonald’s.

The deal will see the iconic McDonald’s golden arches feature on AFLW coaching apparel, while McDonald’s will become Melbourne’s official Quick Service Restaurant and Coffee partner.

The partnership will also focus on supporting the Macca’s Kick-2-Kick Program and Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania.

Brad McMullen, McDonald’s Southern Region Market Director said he was excited to see the two brands come together.

“For us at McDonald’s, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we operate, and we’re excited to partner with the Melbourne Football Club,” McMullen said.

“Melbourne, along with the Bulldogs, have been instrumental in the women’s football movement. We hope our partnership helps more Aussies participate in, and enjoy this great game.

After each of Melbourne’s AFLW home games and at select AFL matches, the crowd will be invited onto the ground post-game to have a kick with their friends and family as part of the Macca’s Kick-2-Kick.

Along with the promotion of the Macca’s Kick-2-Kick program, the partnership across the AFL and AFLW teams allows McDonald’s to continue its work in raising funds and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The connection to Ronald McDonald House will allow Melbourne’s players to make a positive impact to those in care, according to Peter Bishop, Ronald McDonald House Charities VIC and TAS CEO.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria and Tasmania gives over 2,000 families every year the gift of being able to stay close to their seriously ill children whilst in hospital care,” Bishop said.

“We wish to utilise our partnership with Melbourne to further support and connect players with the families impacted.”

Melbourne Football Club CEO Gary Pert is equally excited to welcome McDonald’s to the club and to work with licensees to promote the alignment over the next three years.

“McDonald’s ‘golden arches’ logo is one of the world’s most iconic brands and we’re really thrilled to welcome them on board,” Pert said.

“We love the fact McDonald’s are excited to join our AFLW program and I encourage all our fans to bring their footies down when they come along to the games and have a kick after the final siren.
