CASEY will kick off the 2020 VFL season with a Saturday afternoon clash against local rivals, Frankston on Saturday, April 4 at Casey Fields.

The opening round match is one of nine home VFL fixtures scheduled at Casey Fields in 2020.

On the away front, Casey will feature in two AFL curtain-raisers, which will be played prior to Melbourne matches.

VFL: Casey makes key signings

The first of these curtain-raisers will occur in Round 5, with Casey set to play Essendon on the MCG prior to Melbourne's Round 7 away clash against the Bombers.

Later in the season, Casey will play away against Geelong in Round 17, prior to the Round 19 AFL clash between Geelong and Melbourne. 

Additional fixture highlights include an ANZAC Day encounter against Richmond at the Swinburne Centre and a home fixture against Collingwood on the Queen's Birthday long weekend. 

In total, Casey will feature live on Victorian free-to-air television three times, in Rounds 5, 10 and 14.

The Demons have also been given three byes, which will occur in Rounds 6, 11 and 21.

As per usual, multiple VFL/VFLW double-headers are on the cards, with the full VFLW fixture to be revealed in the new year.
