HERITIER Lumumba will be monitored over the coming days after suffering another head knock playing for Casey against Richmond at Punt Rd Oval last Sunday.
It was the dashing half-back/midfielder’s first game since playing for Melbourne against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium in round six.
General manager of football operations Josh Mahoney said Lumumba would be assessed this week.
“On the weekend, he played his first game back after several weeks off with concussion,” he told melbournefc.com.au.
“During the third quarter, he was involved in an incident and reported concussion symptoms at three quarter-time. He played no further part in the game.
“This concussion will be treated as a normal episode and we will implement our usual concussion protocol, which is two or three days of rest, until symptoms are at baseline. He will be assessed thereafter.”
