Round six Casey player review
Forward line development coach Paul Satterley looks at the Melbourne-listed players who played for Casey against North Ballarat at Casey Fields on Sunday
Jamie Bennell: Jamie was outstanding and looked a class above as he played to his strengths from start to finish. He used his speed and agility to take the game on and gave some much needed run from defence.
Sam Blease: Kicked three valuable goals including the important one to seal the four points. A much improved performance from Sam and he will take plenty of confidence out of this game.
Lucas Cook: Lucas played a half in the Casey reserves and finished with 5.1 in a very promising performance. His marking was strong and he pulled up well.
Tom Couch: Tom was workmanlike and typically effective around the stoppages, kicking a great goal to help Casey win the game. His form continues to be very good.
Troy Davis: A solid game from Troy, he made some strong spoils and played a reliable game for the team.
Jack Fitzpatrick: After a quiet first half, Jack really imposed himself on the game in the third quarter. He was dangerous up forward and effective in the ruck. His finish for goal let him down at times in tricky conditions.
Kelvin Lawrence: Applied pressure in our forward half and could have finished better for goal. It was a more consistent effort from Kelvin.
Daniel Nicholson: Whatever Daniel did in this game he did well and played to his strengths. He will keep improving with more games under his belt.
Ricky Petterd: Ricky played a very physical game and worked hard both ways, playing forward and through the midfield. His desperation was a great example to his teammates.
Jai Sheahan: This was a positive step in Jai's development. He played on some quality forwards and applied good pressure, while also setting up the play with his precise foot skills.
Jake Spencer: Jake worked tirelessly in the ruck against a very capable opponent in Todd Goldstein. Jake stuck to the task and will be much better for the experience, remembering he has missed a lot of football.
Rory Taggert: It was Rory's first game for the season. He is a strong bodied young man and showed glimpses of his special talent. He will only improve with games under his belt.
