THIS month, Melbourne will return to its heartland for a training session and free family fun night.
On Thursday 25 June, the playing group will have an evening training session at a suburban football ground for the first time in years, with training to take place at Toorak Park in Armadale ahead of the club’s bye round.
Commencing at 5pm, the session is at a family-friendly time, with children and parents invited to watch the players train while enjoying a BBQ.
Entry to the event is free and there will be opportunities to get autographs from the players after the training session.
There will be a jumping castle and face painting set up on the night, with a range of activities and games for kids.
Club mascots Chuck and Checker will also be at the family fun night, while merchandise and memberships will be available to purchase.
As there is limited street parking available close to the oval, taking public transport to the ground is recommended.
Toorak and Armadale stations are both within walking distance of the ground, while there are also tram stops on Orrong Road.
