Brock McLean had further scans today on his right foot following Friday night’s game against St Kilda. The scans revealed that he has a fracture of the cureiform (mid foot) and is expected to miss approximately six weeks of football.

McLean was cleared of any serious ligament damage on Saturday afternoon following tests earlier that morning.

McLean told melbournefc.com.au, “Obviously disappointed to miss the newt few weeks after a long preseason, however I’ll just have to focus on getting myself right for my next game.

“I was a little relieved on Saturday when the scans identified that I didn’t have ligament damage, as that could have meant up to three months on the sidelines.”

It is expected that McLean will be on crutches for a couple of weeks before starting weight bearing activities.
