THE MELBOURNE Football Club is proud to once again support ‘Sleep at the ’G’ in 2015.

Taking place on Thursday 21 May, ‘Sleep at the ’G’ will see 1,500 people spend a night sleeping on cardboard at the MCG to help raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness.

More than 6,000 young people in Victoria are homeless on any given night – forced to either ‘couch surf’ or live without shelter and ‘sleep rough’.

A major event of Melbourne City Mission, ‘Sleep at the ’G’ is now in its third year, and aims to raise $600,000 to help vulnerable young people break out of the cycle of homelessness and disadvantage.

The Melbourne Football Club has a charity partnership with Melbourne City Mission and has proudly supported ‘Sleep at the ’G’ since the inaugural event in 2013, with staff also taking part in the event each year.

The club’s Melbourne City Mission ambassadors, Chris Dawes and Jack Watts, are also actively involved in promoting the charity and raising awareness of the event.

Registrations for ‘Sleep at the ’G’ are now open at http://sleepattheg.com.au
