CAPTAIN Nathan Jones says the Demons are eager to test themselves against one of the best in the business, when they meet the Sydney Swans at the MCG this Saturday night.
Jones said “off the back of a really, really poor performance” against Fremantle last round – when the Demons lost by 68 points at the MCG – the triple best and fairest winner said his side needed to rebound strongly.
“We were embarrassing last week in what we served up and I think that really affects what we’re trying to do,” he said.
“I think the players really got a handle on why it happened and it’s been pretty honest.
“The opportunity is there for us to respond now and I think that’s the great challenge.
“We’re really looking forward to what Sydney will dish up and I think it’ll be a really exciting game.”
