Bartram returns after a year's absence
Clint Bartram returns to the Melbourne line-up this Saturday, playing a senior game for the first time since Round One, 2007.  In a training session leading into Round Two, 2007, Bartram injured his knee and was unable to play for the remainder of the season.  In what has been a frustrating twelve months for the 20 year-old, Bartram’s determination has played a major role in seeing him return to senior AFL football.

Colin Sylvia is also returning to the team, after being suspended by his peers for a week for disciplinary reasons.  Sylvia has been in great form over the pre-season competition and will be a welcome addition to the side.  Lynden Dunn is the other inclusion, having played a solid game for the Zebras in last week's practice match.

Adem Yze, Brent Moloney and Ricky Petterd have all been omitted from the side.  Petterd and Moloney, along with Ben Holland, have been named as emergencies.

The Western Bulldogs have made no changes following their thrilling win last week against the Crows.  They have named Callan, Tiller, and Street as emergencies.

In a memorable milestone, James McDonald celebrates his 200th game with the Melbourne Football Club this week, having made his senior debut in Round 17, 1997 after coming off the rookie list.
