MELBOURNE Football Club wishes to make the following statement regarding Liam Jurrah.
The next step in Liam Jurrah's court proceedings will see him travel to Alice Springs to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrate Court for a Preliminary Hearing on Monday.
The Preliminary Hearing will assess the presented Crown evidence to determine whether the case continues to the Supreme Court for trial.
The Club expects the hearing to last the full three days, during which time Liam will be supported by Club officials, Football Manager Josh Mahoney and Player Services Manager Craig Lees .
Following the hearing, Liam will return to Melbourne to continue his rehabilitation of his ankle injury and football conditioning, in the hope of a return to the VFL in the coming weeks.
