MELBOURNE’S Past & Present Players’ & Officials’ Association is holding a celebration of Ron Barassi’s life achievements.

Barassi celebrated his 80^th birthday on February 27 and the event will look back at the football legend’s VFL/AFL journey over the years.

The formal dinner will be held in the MCC Dining Room on Friday 13 May and will include a premium food and beverage package.

Tim Lane will host the event, with guest speakers including Sam Kekovich and Robert Walls (via video), while other well-known personalities from the entertainment industry will also be in attendance.

All net proceeds from the event will be forwarded to the Past & Present Players’ & Officials’ association Ltd, to help expand and develop its work in the care, welfare and support of those to have represented the Melbourne Football Club both on and off the field.
