IN ROUND 15, Melbourne will celebrate the city’s diversity by welcoming everyone to the MCG for its game against Adelaide Crows.
Melbourne is a multicultural city, with people from all over the world calling it home either temporarily or forever.
The Club is aiming to create the most culturally diverse crowd ever seen at an AFL game and invites people to attend and represent their heritage on Sunday 3 July.
This includes creating an opportunity for 73 individuals from 73 different countries to be involved in a ceremony at half time on the MCG. Applications are open here
On the day there will be musical and dance performances, along with a parade of 73 national flags at half time.
There will also be a wide variety of food choices available at the ground.
To further celebrate the occasion, the Club also be offering anyone with an international passport a free ticket to the game.
