KEY forward Jesse Hogan can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea for striking St Kilda’s Jarryn Geary.
The match review panel handed out its sanction on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred during the fourth quarter of Melbourne’s 36-point loss to St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from St Kilda, the MRP assessed the incident as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction.
Hogan has no applicable record, which impacts the penalty. An early plea enables him to accept a $1000 sanction.
