CASEY Scorpions will open its 2017 premiership season with an Easter Monday clash against Williamstown at Burbank Oval.
After an outstanding 2016 – when it made the Grand Final under coach Justin Plapp – Casey will be aiming to be right up there again in the 2017 VFL season.
The Scorpions will play their first home game at Casey Fields in round two – a Saturday night game against North Ballarat on April 22.
Casey will play Footscray in the Grand Final rematch at Casey Fields on Saturday June 17 at 7pm.
The Scorpions will be involved in three televised matches on Channel Seven – rounds three (Geelong at Simonds Stadium), eight (Collingwood at Casey Fields) and 10 (Box Hill Hawks at Box Hill City Oval).
Casey will also play seven night matches for the season.
The Scorpions will play five of their last six home and away matches at Casey Fields.
There are 19 home and away rounds next season, with two byes coming for Casey coming in the weekend of May 27 (when the VFL v WAFL state game is held) and round 15 (July 15 and 16).
