MELBOURNE’S longstanding association with Berry Street will be recognised at this week’s game at the MCG.

As the round 16 charity partner, Berry Street will host a special Family Day at the ’G prior to Melbourne’s match against Brisbane Lions.

The Berry Street marquee will be set up between gates two and three from 11am and will feature a football skills activity, facepainting and giveaways.

The Melbourne Football Club and Berry Street have a longstanding association, with 2015 marking the 30th year of the partnership.

At the core of Berry Street’s work is the belief that all children, regardless of their disadvantages or challenges, should have a good childhood.

Last year, Berry Street helped more than 27,000 vulnerable children, young people and families in disadvantaged situations.

Services include foster care programs, intensive youth services and child abuse prevention programs.
