FORWARD Kelvin Lawrence has returned to Western Australia, after almost two seasons on Melbourne’s rookie list.

The 19-year-old goalsneak did not play a match for Melbourne.

He was originally drafted from Peel Thunder at No.48 in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft, held in December 2010.

Football manager Josh Mahoney confirmed Lawrence had departed the club.

“Despite the best efforts of Melbourne Football Club and AFLPA, Kelvin has decided that he is unable to meet the demands of AFL football and returned home to Perth,” football manager Josh Mahoney said.

“We respect this decision and will make every effort to exit Kelvin appropriately.”
