Match Preview

So here it is - the season has come down to the final deciding contest and the Casey Demons will be looking to clinch their sixth VFA/VFL Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

It will be the first time in a VFA/VFL Grand Final that both the Demons and Box Hill Hawks have come up against each other.

Casey and Box Hill have played twice this season with the Dees claiming the win in round six by 39 points, whilst Box Hill prevailed in round 20.

Casey progressed through to the grand final after a dominating 91-point win over Geelong at home in the qualifying final before a gutsy come-from-behind eight-point win over Essendon in last week's preliminary final.

Box Hill reached the decider after an extra-time 11-point win over Port Melbourne, a 29-point win over Geelong, then a thrilling one-point win over Williamstown in the preliminary final.

The Hawks are just the second team behind Northern Blues (Bullants) in 2010 to make the grand final from outside the top four.

With no AFL footy in Melbourne on Sunday, make sure you get down to Docklands and cheer the Demons on to glory!
