THE Melbourne Football Club wishes to advise that Jeremy Nichols has resigned as a Director.
Nichols joined the Board in 2013 and has been a member of the Club’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Nichols is the Managing Director and Founder of Composure Group and the time challenges associated with running his business, along with the desire to spend more time with his four children, has resulted in Nichols stepping down from the Board.
The Melbourne Chairman Glen Bartlett thanked Nichols for his contribution to the Club as a Director.
“Jeremy is a passionate Melbourne person and I would like to thank him for the time he has put in over the last five years and his contribution to our Board,” he said.
“On behalf of the Board, we wish him and his family all the best for the future and we look forward to seeing him at the MCG in 2018.”
Nichols said that his growing business commitments has made him reassess his position on the board.
“Many of our supporters may not be aware that Directors are volunteers and give up their time to assist the Club. In my case, my personal consultancy business is growing and with the ever-challenging time commitments that go with that, I have decided to step down from the board. I have enjoyed my time on the board and I wish the Club all the best in 2018 and beyond.”
