MELBOURNE partner The Sporting Globe has raised $7,200 for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Last Sunday, the BCNA Brunch was held at The Sporting Globe in Richmond, where a strong contingent of Melbourne supporters gathered pre-match, before the Field of Women event at the MCG.
The event was hosted by winter Olympian Steph Prem, who shared her personal story of her mum, who fought and overcame breast cancer.
The Sporting Globe chief executive officer James Sinclair said he was delighted with the outcome.
“The Sporting Globe were thrilled to raise $7,200 across a three-week campaign in its 11 venues, which included sales of scarves, donation tins and all profits from its pink shimmer mocktail and cocktail range,” he said.
“Jack Viney and Kate Hore attended The Sporting Globe’s Field of Women match day brunch on Sunday to reveal the cheque with The Sporting Globe.
“It was then presented to BCNA Pink Sports Day Program Manager Kris Paproth.”
The Sporting Globe plans on making this an annual event.
