THE Casey Demons Football Club are excited to announce a new major partnership agreement with YMCA Victoria.

The new partnership will see the YMCA logo featured prominently on the front of the Casey Demons’ VFLW guernsey. The agreement will also allow club players and staff to access the YMCA’s seven facilities in the Casey region. 

Casey general manager of football, Peter Maynard, said the partnership would provide a major boost for the club’s football program. 

“Our club is very excited to have YMCA come on board as a major of our VFL and VFLW teams,” Maynard said.

“This is a significant partnership for the club, a move that will assist in growing the club’s reputation, membership, attendances and profile in and throughout the City of Casey.

“Injury prevention and treatment, rehab and recovery are a critical part of any sport and high intensity environment. Having access to great facilities is essential for keeping players in the best shape and condition on the field.

“This agreement gives our staff and players access to the seven YMCA-managed Casey facilities, boosting our rehab and recovery sessions to further strengthen our high-performance program.

“This is a significant show of faith in the Casey Demons and what we are hoping to build at Casey Fields. We look forward to a long, successful and mutually beneficial partnership with the YMCA.”

YMCA Casey area manager, Barry Harrison said he was also thrilled by the partnership and the opportunity to provide cross-organisation benefits for members of the YMCA and Casey Demons.

“Thanks to this agreement, the YMCA, Casey Demons and members will receive access to a number of exclusive benefits and opportunities like free entry to designated Casey Demons home games, dual membership, access to each other’s facilities, employment, training and recovery, apparel and merchandise discounts and member promotions,” Harrison said.

“We also want to encourage women in sport and this partnership also supports elite sporting pathways for local female athletes.”
