BERNIE Vince will miss Melbourne's clash against Carlton at the MCG on Sunday, after accepting a one match sanction with an early plea by the match review panel.
Vince was charged for striking St Kilda’s Nathan Wright during the third quarter of Melbourne’s 30-point win at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Based on the available evidence and a medical report from St Kilda, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.
The incident was classified as a two-match sanction.
Vince had no applicable record which impacted the penalty.
An early plea enabled Vince to accept a one-match sanction.
