MELBOURNE has added five players to its side to face GWS at the MCG on Sunday, with Alex Neal-Bullen the only exclusion, set to miss with concussion.
Jordan Lewis, Braydon Preuss, Charlie Spargo, Corey Wagner and Sam Weideman have all been named on the Demons’ extended interchange, with at least one player set to make the final 22 for Round 10.
While Melbourne had three players go down with concussion against West Coast last Friday night, Christian Salem and Tim Smith have pulled up well and should be ready to play this weekend.
Preuss and Wagner have both earned their re-call after strong performances in the VFL on Saturday, after flying home on the red-eye from Perth just hours earlier.
Lewis, Spargo and Weideman are all back in the selection mix after recovering from respective injuries and will put their hand up to play this weekend.
As part of Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round, Melbourne will be wearing its unique Indigenous Guernsey, while former star Jeff Farmer is set to present the umpires with the match ball pre-game. The red and blue jumper is available for purchase in adult and youth sizes via the Demon Shop.
The Dees will announce their final side for the clash with the Giants at 5:00pm AEST on Friday night.
