THERE are no major concerns over Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin’s health after he left his weekly press conference early on Wednesday afternoon.
Goodwin was answering the media’s questions at AAMI Park before asking to take a short break.
The club’s General Manager of Football Operations Josh Mahoney said the senior coach has taken the afternoon off but should be back to work as per usual on Thursday.
“Simon experienced some dizzy spells whilst answering questions during the press conference today,” Mahoney told Melbourne Media.
“We cut the conference short and gave him time to regather his thoughts and hydrate, before using Troy Chaplin as a replacement to complete the media conference.
“Simon has since seen our club doctor who reassured him that everything is OK, but as a precaution, we have sent him for tests this afternoon.
“We expect Simon to be at training tomorrow and to coach this weekend.”
