CHANNEL Seven will switch its HD signal for the night to ensure the Anzac Day Eve clash between Melbourne and Richmond is shown in high definition on free-to-air television.
For the second year in a row the game will be shown nationally on 7mate and not Seven's main channel.
However, the network has assured AFL fans it will switch it's HD signal for the evening, with Channel 70 set to show the 7mate coverage in the best picture quality available.
The game will also be shown on Fox Footy and Telstra's AFL Live App on mobile devices.
The bounce is scheduled for 7:25pm AEST after a moving pre-game ceremony which will again include the lighting of a flame brought by horseback from the Shrine of Remembrance.
Seven has opted to stick with its hit reality show My Kitchen Rules on Tuesday night April 24, as the cooking competition nears its crescendo.
The decision not to rest MKR for the night is sure to create plenty of arguments over control of the remote in lounge rooms across the country.
