LIVING in Melbourne, recently titled the ‘world’s mostliveable city’, it is difficult to understand how on any given night up to22,000 Victorians can be without a place to call home.

That’s why the Melbourne Football Club is proud to be partnering ‘Sleep at the’G’ on Thursday, 18 April, raising money to help eliminate youth homelessness.

Melbourne staff and players are throwing their support behind the cause bysleeping out or volunteering on the night , with participants including GeneralManager of Football Operations Josh Mahoney, past player Russell Robertson andcurrent players Mark Jamar and Colin Sylvia.

‘Sleep at the ‘G’ will raise much needed money and awareness for youthhomelessness, as well as giving participants a tangible insight into what lifeis like ‘sleeping rough’.

Established in 1854, Melbourne City Mission is Melbourne’s oldest charity andone of four Melbourne partner charities for 2013. The inaugural  ‘Sleep atthe ‘G’ forms an essential part of this partnership.
