Bail a chance for Lions
Rohan Bail faces another fitness test in the lead-up to Melbourne’s clash against Brisbane Lions at the Gabba this Sunday
Bail has missed the past four matches with concussion and was a late withdrawal from Melbourne’s win over Greater Western Sydney at the MCG last Sunday.
And as announced on Monday, the Demons will be without key forward Mitch Clark for the rest of the season, due to a foot injury sustained against the Giants.
Clark’s absence comes on the back of last week’s news that defender Clint Bartram will also miss the rest of 2012 with a knee injury.
Former captain Brad Green remains sidelined with a hip injury for two to three matches and 2011 club leading goalkicker Liam Jurrah (ankle) remains out for two to four weeks.
Versatile small Neville Jetta (ankle) is a chance to play his first match of any sorts for the season, after being sidelined with an ankle injury.
Rookie Michael Evans is getting closer to returning from a back injury and is now only two to four games away.
First-year Demon Rory Taggert (back) remains out indefinitely and ruckman Max Gawn (knee) is out for the rest of the season.
