Rookie Zac O'Brien amassed a game-high 35 touches (20 kicks, 15 handballs) in the Lions' 48-point loss.
Defenders Mitch Golby (22 disposals), Liam Dawson (21) and Josh McGuinness (21) were also kept busy in a backline that was under constant pressure.
Forward Matthew Hammelmann registered three goals for the Lions.

Defender Matthew Dick was one of the only positives for the Blues in their heavy 103-point defeat.
The 20-year-old, who joined the club from the Sydney Swans as a delisted free agent last year, finished with 34 touches playing through the midfield and off half-back.

Ruckman Brodie Grundy suffered an injury scare in the first quarter of the Magpies' 10-point win after colliding with teammate Ben Kennedy.
The 21-year-old returned to the field later in the first term and played out the second and third quarters in limited game time.
It was Grundy's first appearance since sustaining a neck injury at training in the lead-up to the Magpies' round 11 clash against Greater Western Sydney.
Ball-winner Levi Greenwood was withdrawn from the game, with the club looking ahead to its away clash to Port Adelaide next Thursday night.
Defender Ben Reid was also rested after suffering a corked calf in the VFL last weekend.

Midfielder David Myers, who made a return from a left shoulder injury he sustained in round one, was taken off the ground late in the game with a left knee injury in the Bombers' 44-point loss.
The 26-year-old had ice applied to his knee and will be further assessed in coming days.
In better news, onballer Heath Hocking got through unscathed in his second game this year after overcoming a persistent groin injury.
Irishman Conor McKenna was the Bombers' leading goalkicker with three.

Omitted speedster Hayden Crozier was among his team's major ball winners, accumulating 24 possessions (15 kicks, nine handballs) and six tackles in Peel's 55-point loss.
Another omitted Docker, fringe ruckman Jack Hannath, finished with 10 touches and 19 hit-outs.
Midfielder Jacob Ballard (26 touches) and draftee onballer Connor Blakely (23) were kept busy in the middle.

Midfielder Jimmy Bartel was named the Cats' best in his return from injury, finishing with a match-high 28 touches, seven clearances, six tackles and five marks in about 80 per cent of game time.
It was the 31-year-old's first appearance since injuring his left knee in round three against Gold Coast.
Bartel was granted permission to take part in the match after the Geelong-Adelaide clash was cancelled in the wake of Crows coach Phil Walsh's death.
Jarrad Jansen collected 21 disposals and booted a goal after being used as a marking target in attack, while George Horlin-Smith also performed well with 20 touches in the Cats' 48-point loss.

Big man Peter Wright inspired the Suns to a tough 15-point win over Sydney University with six goals in a low scoring game at Blacktown.
The ruckman hauled in 12 marks and had 19 possessions for the winners.
Midfielder Matt Shaw had 32 touches while defender Greg Broughton was also good with 29 possessions and 11 marks.
Zac Smith dominated the ruck contests all day, finishing with 39 hit-outs and 17 touches.

Midfielder Jake Barrett had a day out in the Giants' massive win over the Swans, with 43 touches and 15 clearances in the 183-point smashing.
The tough midfielder is yet to debut at AFL level but he'd have to be close with another outstanding game, where he also laid 10 tackles.
Former Swan Jed Lamb torched his old side with 24 possessions, 10 marks and eight goals.
Josh Kelly chimed in with 42 possessions in another classy game while running defender Nathan Wilson grabbed 35 of his own.

Brandon Jack was a strong contributor again for the Swans in a brutal thumping at the hands of the Giants.
The midfielder had 23 disposals and laid eight tackles in a side that kicked just two goals and lost by 183 points.
Youngster Isaac Heeney had just nine touches in his first game back from a knee injury but the Swans will be happy to have him back on the park.
Midfielder Dan Robinson and big man Aliir Aliir both had 15 possessions but there were very few highlights for the Swans.

Omitted onballer Matt Rosa responded well to his demotion, gathering a team-high 32 disposals (19 kicks, 13 handballs), 10 inside 50s, eight marks and kicking a goal in his side's four-point loss.
Fellow midfielder Brant Colledge also kept busy with 28 touches (17 kicks, 11 handballs) and six tackles.
Former Blue Kane Lucas had 23 possessions (11 kicks, 12 handballs), five inside 50s and kicked two goals.

Defender Shane Biggs was a standout across half-back with a team-high 28 possessions after collecting 24 touches last weekend.
Midfielder Lachie Hunter also impressed with 25 touches and three goals, while omitted draftee Lukas Webb had 21 disposals in the Bulldogs' 103-point win.
Ball-winner Nathan Hrovat registered three goals, with forwards Stewart Crameri and Ayce Cordy kicking two apiece.
