MELBOURNE got some good news this evening with doctors confirming that speedy forward Aaron Davey had not broken his foot.
Davey was in a lot of pain when he was helped from the field during Melbourne’s loss to the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
It was initially feared he had broken a bone but Melbournefc football operations Manager Ross Monaghan announced tonight that the injury was not that serious.
“Aaron had an MRI and x-rays today that have cleared him of any bone damage,” Monaghan said.
“Aaron has a foot sprain with moderate ligament damage.”
Davey will have further assessments tomorrow which should give a clearer indication of how many games he will miss.
