GRACE Hill has been informed that she will not be offered a contract for the 2025 AFL Women’s season.

The 26-year-old former Giant arrived at Melbourne at the beginning of the 2024 season as an injury replacement player for draftee Jacinta Hose.

The defender played eight games in the red and blue, and established herself as an impactful contributor to the backline.

Melbourne AFLW List Manager Todd Patterson thanked Hill for her time with the Demons.

“Grace put a lot of trust in us taking on an uncertain role as an injury replacement player, and we’ve loved the energy and enthusiasm she committed to the team in her short time with us,” Patterson said.

“Grace is an incredibly warm and kind person, whose calm presence was highly valued in a challenging season.

“We would like to thank Grace for everything she’s given to our program this year and wish her all the best in her next journey.”
