JUDD MCVEE can hang his hat on 2024 as one of his best seasons at AFL level, ending the year with an AFLPA 22-under-22 squad nomination and a Brownlow vote to his name.

The 21-year-old burst onto the scene in 2023 taking the red and blue faithful by storm.

The youngster spent most of the year playing off half-back but got his chance in the midfield at the back end of the year.

McVee looked comfortable alongside Gawn, Viney and Oliver at centre bounces and stoppages around the ground and even slotted his first career goal.

No.4 can look forward to more midfield time in 2025 and close out 2024 with his head held high for the composure of a 250 gamer in just 48 games.

Game of the year

McVee recorded his first career Brownlow vote in Melbourne’s Round 7 clash against Richmond, lining up against the likes of Dustin Martin.
