MELBOURNE has made a change to its starting side against Brisbane, with Kynan Brown replacing Jake Bowey for the Friday night clash.

Brown, who comes in for his second game at AFL level, will start the match as the Demons’ substitute.

Melbourne GM of AFL Performance provided an update regarding the late change.

“Jake suffered a corkie in his back during the week and while he got through training yesterday, he felt some lingering soreness today,” Richardson said.

“As a result, Jake will miss tonight’s game against Brisbane. However, we are optimistic he will be available for selection in Round 17.

“It’s exciting for Kynan, who gets another opportunity at AFL level, after playing an important role for us last week. We look forward to him building on his experience tonight.”

Melbourne’s match with Brisbane will commence at 7.40pm AEST.
