LIVEWIRE Demon Koltyn Tholstrup will make his highly anticipated debut against the Lions this Thursday night.
Drafted to the club in 2023 with pick No.13, Tholstrup is a fast-paced forward, providing a powerful strength in the contest.
The young Demon quickly became a fan-favourite when he arrived at the Dees last November, his personality and raw talent an exciting prospect for the Melbourne faithful.
Most recently, the 18-year-old put his name forward for senior footy after a number of impressive outings in the VFL, in addition to holding his own on the training track.
Tholstrup was told the exciting debut news during Wednesday’s team meeting, with emotional phone calls home to Esperance in WA made following the announcement.
He'll run out alongside his teammates tomorrow night, with the first bounce at the MCG scheduled for 7:30pm (AEST).
Melbourne will name the remainder of its Round 5 line-up tonight at 6:20pm.
