THE MELBOURNE Football Club extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Frank ‘Bluey’ Adams, after the Demons great tragically passed away on Sunday night.
At the age of 84, Adams, a beloved member of the Melbourne family, sadly lost his battle with cancer.
Adams was a champion of the club in his playing days, representing the Demons on 164 occasions between 1953 and 1964, winning six premierships in his illustrious career.
Adams’ time in the red and blue earned him a long list of accolades, including Melbourne life membership (1962), a position in the club’s Hall of Fame (2001), and a call up to the Dees’ Team of the Century.
Melbourne will wear black arm bands at the MCG on Friday night to honour Adams’ life.
