WITH only four days to go, the Movember campaign has been stung by controversy. Despite still holding the highest amount of donations, Nathan Jones has shaved his mo off. The logic behind his decision is unknown, but the good news is that his current lack of moustache has not hindered him from raising awareness and funds for men’s health.
Jonesy has been disqualified from the moustache growing race - but  will be a clear winner with the most donations, currently on $1391.
Newcomer Mitch Clark will easily win the longest moustache contest, and has raised $741.
Despite Stef Martin requesting to have his moustache digitally enhanced ‘like Jonesy’, he and Max Gawn have drawn for equal third place.
Collectively, the boys raised $2480 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, beyondblue: the national depression initiative, and the Heart Foundation.

Week 2

NATHAN Jones continues to maintain his comfortable lead with the highest amount of donations, ending the week on $1206. Similarly, Mitch Clark will be a hard man to beat for the longest mo.

Better known for his height rather than his moustache growing skills, Max Gawn has finished off Week Two with only a slight shade to his upper lip.

The good news for Gawn is that Stef Martin is also vying for fourth position in the moustache growing stakes. Martin has chosen to go with the moustache/beard option, which provides a minor distraction from his lack of moustache.

Regardless of length of moustache, the Melbourne Football Club Movember team has collectively raised a sensational $2190, with two weeks still to go.

Week 1

THE BOYS are working hard on the track during pre-season, but they’re also working hard off the track to raise funds for men’s health by growing a moustache for Movember.

Nathan Jones, Mitch Clark, Max Gawn and Stef Martin are nine days into their challenge of not only growing the longest ‘mo’ but also seeing who can raise the most money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.

Using Twitter as his main source to raise funds, Nathan Jones is off to a flying start, raising $696 so far. Mitch Clark is coming in second place with $150. Inspired by Jones’ success on Twitter, Clark is now offering all those who donate through his account the chance to be randomly selected and win a Melbourne Football Club guernsey.

Raising funds and awareness of men’s health issues personally resonates with Max Gawn, who last year lost a friend to heart failure. Max is calling on supporters to visit the Heart Foundation website to make a donation.

Each week we will update this page with photographic evidence of who is growing the biggest ‘mo’. Whilst Jones is ahead in the donation stakes, Clark has Week 1 of Movember wrapped, with the longest mo so far. Martin and Gawn are still in the running for a strong finish.
