INS – Harris, Fitzsimon
OUTS – Campbell (omitted), Paxman (inj.)
IN WHAT is set to be the biggest game of the round, Melbourne will be bolstered by the return of two Demons with Tayla Harris and Megan Fitzsimon entering the starting line-up.
Harris was sidelined during Round 5 with a minor hamstring injury, but has re-joined the team ahead of Saturday's clash against Adelaide.
The tall forward has been dominant during 2023, commanding aerial contests with an average of three contested marks a game (league-high).
Fitzsimon gets the call up after impressing on the training track in recent weeks, the crafty Demon set to add quick skills and strong goal awareness into the forward line.
Paxy Paxman has been ruled out of the Round 6 match, with Marcus Wagner, GM Football Operations and AFLW, providing an update on the Demon.
"Paxy was involved in an innocuous accident at home during the week," Wagner told Melbourne Media.
"This was an unlucky incident while playing with her dog and she’s entered concussion protocols as a precautionary measure.”
Georgia Campbell will also miss the game, omitted from the starting 21, but will join Maeve Chaplin and Jordan Ivey on the emergency list.
Arguably one of the biggest rivalries in AFLW history, the Dees and Crows will add to their long-standing history, facing each other at Casey Fields, with the winner set to claim top spot on the ladder.
Saturday’s match will mark the 10th meeting of the two teams with both sides currently undefeated in 2023, setting the scene for what is sure to be a pressure-filled contest.
The on-field action will kick-off from 3:05pm, with tickets to the clash still available here.
