In 2023, the organisation is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a weekend of events and celebration that will light up the city with the iconic pink hue.
The main event of the weekend will be the Field of Women event, once again hosted at the MCG before the Dees take on the Hawks.
This event aims to bring the statistics of breast cancer to life, with thousands of people standing together in the centre of the ground to form the silhouette of BCNA’s Pink Lady.
The Demons' AFLW side will also show their support during a pre-season practice match on Saturday 19 August, donning pink socks when they face Hawthorn at Casey Fields.
Melbourne Football Club’s partnership with BCNA began in 2005 with the first Field of Women event. Since then, the Field of Women has been staged in 2007, 2010, 2014, and 2018.
Since 2021, a Virtual Pink Lady has also been available to enable everyone to get involved, no matter where they are. Fans who are unable to get to the match can donate via the Virtual Pink Lady here.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the match will go towards BCNA, to ensure that people affected by breast cancer continue to receive the best treatment, care, and support.
Fans are also encouraged to donate to this special cause; last year’s match raised over $350,000.
The Pink Lady match will take place in at the MCG in Round 23, on Sunday 20 August at 3:20PM.
