MIDFIELDER Tom Scully is a chance to resume this weekend, but it is not yet known if he will play for Melbourne or Casey.

Scully has not featured in a match since injuring his knee during Melbourne’s loss against Brisbane Lions at Visy Park in March.

The outstanding youngster could return on Friday night against Carlton at the MCG or line-up for the Scorpions against Williamstown at Avalon Airport Oval, Werribee.

But first he must complete training this week, before being declared right to play.

The club has also confirmed defender Luke Tapscott will miss the next three matches, after he injured his hamstring.

Tapscott suffered the injury early in the opening term against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium last round.

Ruckman Mark Jamar (knee), midfielder Rohan Bail (knee) and defender Colin Garland (ankle) remain sidelined, ranging from three to six matches.

As already known, leader Jack Grimes (foot) and ruckman Jake Spencer (knee) are out for the rest of the season.

And developing tall Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) is still another 6-8 weeks away from resuming.
