MELBOURNE Football Club is preparing to welcome thousands of kids to the MCG in Round 19, as the club hosts a special match day event dubbed the 'Kids Takeover' game.

The event will be an opportunity for families to make unforgettable memories, as the entire match day experience is reimagined to create the ultimate experience for junior footy goers.

The pre-game entertainment will feature trackless trains running throughout Yarra Park, a kids' fan zone with activities for all ages, amazing photo opportunities and a very special performance that you won't want to miss - stay tuned for more details.

The game will take place in the family-friendly Sunday afternoon time slot, making it easier for families to commute.

Junior members and fans also have the opportunity to create artwork for the club's big screen display; simply submit drawings of your favourite Demons' players here for the chance to have your picture on the screen as the players run out, while going into the draw to win a VIP match day experience.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased via Ticketek.

As part of the AFL's Kids Go Free month, all fans under the age of 15 will be welcomed into the MCG for free.

Detailed information, including timings and activations, will be released via melbournefc.com.au in the coming days.
