MELBOURNE will host an open training in Alice Springs ahead of its Sunday clash against the GWS Giants.

The Dees will travel up to the Northern Territory on Saturday in preparation for its annual Heart of the Nation match.

Before the much-loved game on Sunday, the team will get to spend time with NT-based Dees fans at an open training on Saturday afternoon.

Supporters will get to enjoy a football clinic from 2:30pm, before the players get stuck into game preparation from 3:30pm.

The event, which will occur on Territory Day, will include a number of exciting activities and giveaways including face painting, a free BBQ, a DJ and player signings following the training session.
