THE Melbourne Football Club has made further changes to its board with Vice President Guy Jalland tendering his resignation, effective immediately.
Jalland informed the board of his decision at Monday’s scheduled board meeting. His decision follows the resignations of former President Don McLardy and board member Stuart Grimshaw earlier this month.
President Peter Spargo said: “On behalf of the Club, I would like to sincerely thank Guy for his significant contribution to our Club over the past five years.”
“In addition to his role as Vice President, Guy has been a member of the Finance subcommittee and is a Foundation Hero. Guy has provided outstanding service to the Club and his background and skills have been invaluable to us in some challenging times.
“Guy’s passion for the Club remains and I know he will continue to support the club any way he can.”
The Club has appointed board member John Trotter, a former managing partner of Deloitte, to evaluate the current board’s processes, structures, composition and skill. He will also assess the overall performance.
His review findings will be presented to the board at the next scheduled meeting in July.
