Aaron Davey (knee), Clint Bartram (hip) and Luke Tapscott (hamstring) are out through injury.
But the Demons have named rookie Daniel Nicholson for his first AFL match.
Cale Morton and Jamie Bennell have also been recalled.
Austin Wonaeamirri, who missed last round with a knee injury, has been named an emergency, along with yet-to-debut duo ruckman Max Gawn and forward Jeremy Howe.
Although Casey had the bye last round, Morton was one of his side’s best against Bendigo Bombers on May 15, collecting 28 disposals.
Bennell was an emergency last round against St Kilda, as was Gawn and Howe.
Nicholson, 20, was selected at No.14 in last December’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
Originally from East Point/St Pats Ballarat, he was drafted from University Blues, after he shone in the Victorian Amateur Football League last year.
Nicholson is a versatile midfielder/defender with pace and skills.
Joel Macdonald will play his 100th AFL match this round.
The defender will be his 20th appearance for the Demons after 80 with the Brisbane Lions.
It will be a big occasion for Melbourne, as it celebrates ‘Olivia Live at the G’, which will see singing great Olivia Newton-John perform - possibly with president Jim Stynes.
All Melbourne supporters are urged to wear their Demon horns and arrive at the ground for 7pm.
‘Olivia Live at the G’ is attempting to raise as much as possible for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre.
