Jurrah impressed against Adelaide and Port Adelaide in last Friday night’s NAB Cup matches. But what also stood out was his new ‘hair do’.
He is sporting a short haircut all over, except for a clump of hair sticking out on the back of the head.
It’s drawn plenty of talk from the football community, but the ‘Walpiri Wizard’ is happy with his new look.
“I got this haircut from my cousin back in Yuendumu,” Jurrah said from Leongatha at Melbourne’s community camp on Monday.
“My cousin, the one who gave me the haircut, he gave me a style and I looked [at] myself in the mirror and I thought: ‘What’s going on?’
“He told me that he wanted me to keep this haircut, so I’m going to keep it - it looks alright.”
Meanwhile, Jurrah, who is embarking on his third AFL season, said he is relishing his time at Melbourne.
“I haven’t got homesick yet, so I’m really looking forward to my next challenge in my career,” he said.
