THE DEMONS have travelled to Brisbane for their Round 2 clash against modern-day rivals the Brisbane Lions, with three familiar faces returning to the starting side.
Simon Goodwin announced on Tuesday morning that four injured Demons would be available for selection this week with Bayley Fritsch, Steven May, Jack Viney and Christian Salem all putting their hand up to play.
Vice-captain Viney, who suffered a minor knee injury at training, will make his return to face the Lions' strong midfield, adding additional depth to Melbourne's contest talent.
Star defender May was ruled out for the season-opener last week due to a minor calf injury but will line-up in Friday night's starting side, further strengthening the team's backline.

Fritsch, who bruised his foot during training and subsequently missed Round 1, has worked closely with the high-performance staff to get back fighting-fit for Round 2 and will bolster the side's forward line.
The Dees will look to continue their winning form following their 50-point victory against the Dogs in the season-opener.
Dees fans who are based in Queensland are encouraged to get down to the Gabba from 5:30pm (local), when gates open, before the first bounce at 6:55pm. Tickets to the game can be found here.
For those unable to attend, the game will be available to watch live via the Seven Network, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports. Dees supporters can currently access a Kayo x Melbourne membership deal here, with a 12-month subscription part of the package.
