MELBOURNE will head into its final pre-season hit-out against Richmond with a squad of 30 players.
The Demons are set to meet the Tigers on Saturday 4 March at their second home of Casey Fields, as the club counts down to its Round 1 blockbuster against the Bulldogs in 15 days’ time.
Unlike last week’s match simulation against St Kilda, Saturday’s clash will play out as a traditional AFL match, using regular quarter timings and structure.
Melbourne’s players not named in the squad will line up in the Casey Demons’ pre-season game against Richmond’s VFL side, also taking place at Casey Fields.

The first bounce for the AFL match is scheduled for 4:10pm, with entry free for all supporters, subject to capacity limits.
The club is encouraging fans to arrive early so as to not miss out on seeing the footy action live. Gates will be open from 11am ahead of the VFL match at 12pm.
For those unable to attend, the game will be streamed live on Kayo Sports and Fox Footy. Dees supporters can currently access a Kayo x Melbourne membership deal here, with a 12-month subscription part of the package.
