ON 27 DECEMBER, Melbourne took out their maiden AFLW Premiership against Brisbane.
In a tight tussle at Brighton Homes Arena, Melbourne came out on top beating the Lions by four points. It was a highly contested match-up from the start with both teams coming out firing, but the Dees edged out the Lions away from home to win their first ever AFLW Premiership.
