KYSAIAH Pickett’s impact this season was far greater than you could expect from a third-year footballer.
After winning a premiership in just his 39th game last season, Pickett played in 23 of Melbourne’s 24 matches throughout 2022.
In a short space of time, the 21-year-old has become a pivotal part of the Demons’ forward structure, causing chaos at ground level both with and without the ball in hand.
Pickett placed eighth in the club’s best and fairest this year, showing consistent growth in his first 62 matches at the top level.

Best outing
After visiting the community in Alice Springs, Kysaiah Pickett turned it on for the local fans at TIO Traeger Park in Round 18.
The lively forward had a career-best haul of six goals, scoring from seven of his 14 disposals to help Melbourne secure a 14-point win over the Power.
