MELBOURNE will see the return of three of its players this weekend as it prepares to face Essendon for the first time in its AFLW history.

The Demons have welcomed Sinead Goldrick, Lauren Pearce and Casey Sherriff back into the team, with the trio bolstering the side’s backline, midfield and forward line respectively.  

Sabreena Duffy has developed some soreness in her foot and will be managed this week, missing the Sunday clash in the hopes of improving ahead of Round 10.

Ali Brown and Maggie Caris have been omitted from the starting side but will join Ella Little on the emergency list.

The Demons will make their return to Casey Fields to face the Bombers in the first official in-season match against each other on Sunday afternoon, with the first bounce scheduled for 5:10pm (AEDT).

Members and supporters will have the opportunity to enjoy an array of game day activities at Casey Fields, with tickets for the match still available here.
