TAYLA Harris and Jordan Ivey have been offered one-week suspensions following Narrm’s Round 3 match against St Kilda at RSEA Park.
Harris was charged with engaging in Rough Conduct – Dangerous Tackle, which was graded as Careless, Medium impact, High Contact. The tackle, involving St Kilda’s Molly McDonald, occurred late in the fourth quarter. McDonald was able to continue play.
Ivey was also charged with Rough Conduct in an incident with Rosie Dillon during the first quarter. This was assessed similarly; Careless, Medium Impact and High Contact.
If the sanctions are accepted, the pair will miss Narrm’s Round 4 match against Brisbane at Casey Fields on Sunday afternoon.
The club will provide an update on its position regarding both incidents in due course.
For the duration of AFLW Indigenous Round, the Demons will be rebranded as the Narrm Football Club. Narrm is the Aboriginal name for Melbourne which comes from the Woi Wurrung language, spoken by the traditional owners of the city and its surrounds.
